The Parish Flower Festival this year highlighted those who volunteer in so many diverse ways to show care for others living in Seaford.

Time spent volunteering varies according to individual availability and commitment for the charity involved. Many become involved in local branches of national organisations who fund raise locally throughout the year. Others give their time as individuals volunteering for local charities and show their personal care and love to others who are less able and need a friend to help in their daily lives.

St. Leonard’s and St. Luke’s have many activities within the Church structure and format led by volunteers and friends from the parish. A selection of the many voluntary organisations, clubs and friendship groups based in Seaford were represented in this Flower Festival. It was impossible to include every single group but the hope is that this representative sample gave a sense of the many and varied ways in which the people of Seaford care for others. As the festival hymn proclaims…’Brother let me be your servant’.
