Growing in Faith

As a church we believe in the importance of developing our understanding of the Bible, which is key to our growth in faith. We also believe that the Bible speaks to us in our everyday situations. We hope that you will be able to make use of the opportunities available to further your understanding of God's work in his world and in your life.

Home Groups and Bible Study

BibleThere are various opportunities available for getting to know your Bible better.

Firstly, we welcome everyone to join a homegroup.  These groups meet primarily to study the Bible and pray together, but also create good fellowship, so that group members become firm friends.  Those who are already in groups testify to the value of being able to explore and discuss matters of faith together in the setting of a small group.

We have a number of homegroups in the parish and they are always open to new members, so if you would like to join a group, please tell us.  There are groups meeting on most evenings of the week and a couple in the mornings, and we will find one to suit you.  We look forward to learning new things together and exploring ways in which God's word speaks to us today.

Phone Ruth on 01323 893508 or contact one of the clergy.

Special courses happen from time to time, for example at Lent.  Also all the homegroups follow the same study material at least once a year, and this is sometimes linked into the Sunday preaching.  Watch the Homepage for news of these events, or find details in the magazine and the weekly pewsheet.

If you need guidance with your personal Bible reading, there is a lot out there to help you, in the way of Bible reading notes or Study Guides.  Ask your clergy for advice, or visit Living Words in Place Lane.
