The Vicar: The Rev.Canon Hugh Atherstone
Hugh and Ruth Atherstone have served in this parish since January 1995, and in the Diocese of Chichester for some 23 years, but they both have African roots and spent the first 13 years of Hugh's ministry in the Diocese of Natal in South Africa, before moving into the Diocese of Ely. Their interests include walking, cycling and gardening, lots of reading, lots of travelling, and as much time as possible with their children and grandchildren.
Associate Priest in charge of St. Luke's: The Rev.Christine Doherty
Chris and Eric Doherty have served in the parish since 2003, having lived in Framfield for 30 years. They have lots of stories to share about their travelling expeditions especially with the Church Mission Society which took them to Uganda, Rwanda and Eric to Sumatra. Their interests now involve gardening, time with family, reading and more travelling.
Curate: The Reverend Martin Blewett
Martin, Rosanna and their three boys are new arrivals in Seaford but not in Sussex. Prior to theological training at Trinity College, Bristol, Martin served for several years as a Lay Minister and Schools Worker with St Pancras Church, Chichester. Martin and Rosanna have lived in some very diverse locations including the North of Scotland and Brixham, Devon whilst working with the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen. In the more distant past, both have been involved in overseas mission, Martin in South America and Spain and Rosanna in Moldova and Kazakhstan. Their interests include, gardening, walking, GWR, the sea, making things out of rubbish, archery, people and real ale.
